Dr. Olivia Nichols is a Cedar Rapids native and a proud graduate of Linn Mar High School, class of 2013. Her academic journey took her to Iowa State University, where she majored in Global Resource Systems and minored in Biology. Dr. Nichols' connection to optometry began early, working at Miller Family Eyecare since its opening in 2011, which fueled her passion and led her to pursue an optometric degree. She graduated summa cum laude from Illinois College of Optometry in 2021. She completed her Ocular Disease and Primary Care Residency there in 2022, gaining extensive experience in various eye care disciplines.
Dedicated to blending systemic and ocular health for comprehensive patient care, Dr. Nichols takes pride in offering exceptional medical eye care and a selection of stylish eyewear. She is committed to treating every patient with the utmost care, kindness, and respect.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Nichols enjoys reading, staying active, traveling, cheering at Iowa basketball games alongside her husband, Jackson, and exploring the world of real estate. Her love for Heyn’s Cappuccino ice cream, with Jeni’s Brown Butter Almond Brittle as a close contender, mirrors her approach to life and work: finding joy in the details and excellence in every endeavor.
